Browse our website and choose a design. Once you have chosen a design simply add the number of invites you need into the shopping cart. Don’t forget to add your rsvp cards, thank you notes and place cards as well. If you wish to upgrade from a simple white envelope you can do this here as well.
The big question is- how many invites do you need? Go through your guest list and count how many families/ couples you are inviting. Once you have that number it is recommended to order an additional 5-10 invites, just in case you missed somebody, and to make sure that you will have an invitation for yourself as well as a keepsake.
The wording of your invitation depends on the kind of wedding you are having, as well as simply on what you like.
Here are some quick general rules you should follow:
- Do not use punctuation at the end of sentences
- Do not abbreviate any words except Mr., Mrs., Jr. and Dr.
- Spell out dates and times
Traditionally the phrase ‘the honour of your presence’ is reserved for a wedding that takes place in a church or synagogue. The phrase ‘the honour of your company’ or ‘pleasure of your company’ usually indicates that the service will not be a religious one.
If the location of your wedding is not very well know, or you have many out-of-town guests make sure that the address of all venues is clearly written out.
In the end you have to choose the wording that best reflects your families and your wedding. We can assist you with this should you need any help.
Most of our invites can be personalised to match your wedding style and colour. We can change ribbon colours, card colour, fonts, font colours etc. Simply contact us and we can discuss if the changes you would like to make are possible. Simple changes like ribbon colour will not incur any additional costs. If you are adding anything to the design we will let you know what the cost will be for those extras.
Here at Dreams Design Studio we are a little bit font-crazy; we believe one can never have too many fonts… This is why our range is extensive. Browse through our designs to compare various fonts. Should you request a particular font for your design that we do not have we are happy to organise this, unfortunately we will need to charge a service fee to do this.
Once you have chosen a design and placed your order online, please send us your invitation wording to firstname.lastname@example.org . If we are personalising each invitation with your guest name/s and/or are printing address labels, this is a good time to send us your guest list as well. We will provide you with a proof of your invitation in about 2 working days. If you are happy with how everything looks let us know so we can proceed to the next step. Please remember that it is the clients responsibility to make sure that all spelling, layout and contents are correct. Once you have approved the layout no alterations can be made.
In order to keep to our three week timeframe please provide all necessary information and the proof approval or changes to the layout as soon as possible. Should there be a delay in receiving this information please understand that it will take longer to receive your invitations.
In general it will take 3 weeks from placing your order to dispatch. In extra busy times it might take a little longer but we will advise this on the website so you will be aware of it before placing an order. When calculating turn-around times we have not included public holiday times. Also keep in mind that orders over the Christmas/ New Year period will take a little longer, especially if some of our suppliers are closed during this time.
Traditionally wedding invitations are mailed 2-3 months prior to the wedding so please take this in consideration when placing your order. We would advise that you should order your invitations at least 15 weeks prior to your wedding. A stress free bride is a happy bride!
Should you be in a bit of a pickle and need your invitations super fast please let us know. We do offer a rush service, but please note that a $150 rush service fee will apply.
print & assembly
Once we have received your final proof we will proceed to print and assemble your invitations. This is the time for you to relax, get a massage, or a facial (or really, why not both?)….. we think even the groom deserves to go play golf with his mates. And very soon you will receive a parcel of gorgeousness from yours truly, Dreams Design Studio.
